Grasshopper Group has yet another busy week ahead of us.  We will start the week off in Boston at the Boston BizSpark Meetup.  Then we will be off to Las Vegas for the WOMMA Summit and end the week in Omaha, Nebraska with BarCamp Omaha. Busy, busy, busy!

Startup Marketing Tips:

Boston BizSprk Meetup LogoOn Wednesday, you can find the buzz team at the Boston BizSpark Meetup. The meetup will start off with two pitches to Race Point Capital.  The first pitch will be by Robert Sanchez, founder of Conversation Media, and the other by Brough Turner, founder of netBlazr.  After the pitches, the group will hear from the Vice President of Inbound Marketing at Hubspot, Mike Volpe.  Mike will be presenting, “Startup Marketing Tips from 3 Years at Hubspot.”

The event will end with an opportunity for attendees to ask for advice or opinions on startup-related issues they are facing.  This is a great event for startups to not only attend but to connect with and share ideas with other startups.

WOMMA Summit 2010

WOMMA Summit 2010 LogoGrasshopper Group will be attending the WOMMA Summit in Las Vegas which also starts on Wednesday. The WOMMA Summit is the official word of mouth marketing industry conference; a must attend for marketers looking to help their brand or company grow through social media and word of mouth marketing.  WOMMA is packed with a lot of great, informative sessions, networking opportunities, and exhibitors that we are really excited about!

To learn more about what we’re doing at the WOMMA Summit, check out our recent blog post on it. Also, be sure to check out @spreadable for updates or #womma.

BarCamp Omaha

BarCamp Omaha LogoThe buzz team is heading to Omaha, Nebraska on Friday, a buzz team first, for BarCamp Omaha. Bet they never thought their work travels would land them there! The cool thing about this BarCamp is that it is actually located at a bar!

On Friday night, we will be sponsoring the kickoff party at the Nomad Lounge.  Stop by for some apps (nachos and quesadillas to be specific), a drink on us, and to meet the other BarCamp attendees.

The actual “un-conference” starts on Saturday.  The great thing about the BarCamp is that there is no speaker list, no set schedule, and no real guidelines – a completely open format.  The areas of focus for this event are technology, creative, and entrepreneurship.  This type of setup is awesome because it fosters an environment perfect for networking and great conversations.

The event ends on Saturday night with yet another party.  The party starts at 8pm and goes, “until they kick us out,” according to the BarCamp website.  Sounds like fun to us!

We weren’t kidding when we told you November was going to be a busy month for us.  Be sure to let us know if you will be attending any of these events!
