Friday Flix: HR Coordinator Ben Madden Makes the News!

First David makes the local news for his stint on a segway and now another Grasshopper team member makes their television debut.

In town for the recent Recruit DC “Unconference“, our very own Ben Madden was interviewed by ABC 7 WJLA about the recent sales tax increase on soda. He’s famous! (Check it out at 0:19)

Friday Flix: Segways + Entrepreneurs = Polo?

A few months ago, members of EO from around the Boston area, including Grasshopper co-founder David Hauser, met up to play an unusual sport: Segway Polo. WCVB Channel 5 Boston covered it and the video is now up for your viewing pleasure.

Friday Flix: New Dork & the Granite State of Mind

By now most readers of the Grasshopper blog are familiar with our New Dork video. With over 440,000 views and write ups on TechCrunch, Gizmodo and Mashable (to name a few), it has certainly been a viral success.

Another viral success using the Jay-Z ‘Empire State of Mind’ video comes from our friends further up north…The Granite State of Mind. A tribute to New Hampshire, the video has spread fast and is a worthy addition to our Friday Flix:

Friday Flix: Man vs. Pop Chips

One of the great things about working at Grasshopper is the healthy snacks provided by the company. We have everything from dried fruit to trail mix, to organic cheese nips to…drum roll please…Pop Chips.

Pop Chips are a delicious air popped chip with flavors like salt & vinegar, cheddar and sour cream and onion. After losing a bet, our dear friend Andy had to eat an entire bag. Watch the video to find out if he did it.

Friday Flix: Grasshopper Takes the Court

Here at Grasshopper we spend our days making sure we are creating the best products for entrepreneurs and giving our customers the best service. How do we spend our evenings?

One night a week, members of the Grasshopper team participate in local coed leagues for basketball and soccer (softball come spring/summertime). While we haven’t had much success in the winning category, we have a good time and get some exercise.

Company sports are a great way to help your team members let off some steam at the end of the day and build friendships with other employees.

At the recent quarterly planning meeting in Florida, Andy (who regular Friday Flix viewers are surely familiar with) decided to take a dip in the ocean…after some encouragement from co-founder David Hauser of course.
