    I find it odd that most businesses would increase their advertising budget if given a new line of credit; however, it appears it would not include social media. Are we missing the boat?

    I might suggest that social media activities are captured under “new hires” – as companies recognize that SM isn’t just about tools, but also about having the people in place who know how to use them. We need people to manage our social media programs – most of the tools are free.
